Amazing, I think we are the most self critical group of human beings on this planet. Unwilling to acknowledge and boast of the right things we do and predisposed to criticising ourselves when things are not PERFECT.

To me; it looks like it could be a shift in change of policy. In the denial notice; it is the same officer number who sent the notice of intent to deny. Therefore; it is not a training issue; looks like something else is happening.
training issue is when they send straght denial after 140 is revoked.
Can you upload the denial notice - off course you can erase the confidential information. It will be useful to us.

Yes that is correct
Thanks to everyone that has been calling.
It was all because of IV member's effort :
- calling offices that was done in the last couple of weeks,
- state chapter members formed groups and visited DC,
- state chapter members went to local lawmaker offices. We had a national conference call for all state chapter members before we started this campaign.
- IV core lobbied hard over the past several months when these bills were in the works and are continuing to lobby for these bills.
calling, faxing, meeting, writing letters ... everything works.
Meeting works best.
It is all a question of how much you are willing to invest in this effort.
Digital signatures are just digital signatures. Anonymous letters are good for trash cans. Writing and calling lawmaker office is very helpful. In person meetings with staff are more valuable. In person meeting with the lawmaker himself is invaluable. Getting your employer to contact your local lawmaker office and also write about this is invaluable. Forming a group of people/actively participating as a state chapter and then going to a lawmaker office to lobby is invaluable.
So ultimately it all depends on how badly you want your own greencard and how much you value this effort. If the effort a person wants to do is only an online petition with digital signatures, then such effort is not even worth wasting time on. It will only make anti immigrants happy.
And no action is done haphazardly. We try to organize the effort. We just dont post our plans fully on the public forums. State chapters are more organized than forums and state chapters and their leaders have access to more information. If anyone wants to help us organize us better, please join us and help us. State chapter is just a start. we need everyone's expertise in organizing this effort better than what it is.

I just transfered H1-B to differrent company , but my old company informed the INS that he no longer worked with us. Now H1 with my current company not yet approved and i got some issues and would like to transfer to a different company.
Is it possible for me to trasnfer to a different comapny using my old H1 (where in they informed INS that he no longer works with them ) ?
Appericate your expert opinion on this

I am no expert on this but if labor substitution is eliminated it will remove anywhere from 30 to 50% of labor cleared from BEC. I know a lot of people who have applied for labor 2 to 3 times, they applied for a new labor every time they went to a new employer. It is these extra labor certifications that are being sold

I am seriously thinking of PMP. If I don't do that I think I will have nothing to show even if I do get GC (which seems unlikely at the moment).
somegchuh..yeah...let's go get ourself a PMP cert???? Maybe we (and others who are interested) can start a PMP study group and get it done soon!!! Then by the time we all get our GC, we can work as a PM making at least 150K a year? Sounds good??? :D (sigh..trying to humor myself in such depressing moment!)

PAPPU,
I got a response from the dowjones guy .Mark.Boslet@dowjones.com
I will write to him.
On a side note, It appears that false propaganda is being spread about our taxes and SS contributions we make to raise more anti feelings about us.
To the contrary we contribute to the SS coffers without making use of it. We need to counter this.
Thanks pls follow up with him. more people writing to reporters will help convert a suggestion into a printable Article

I am wondering the same for 2002 applicants. I wonder if many people were approved in 2007 fiasco and if yes, then why PD is stuck at Nov 2001?
I am also thinking the same that many might have been approved in 2007, because most of these applicants had a chance to apply before the gates were closed in 2005, and would have been approved in 2007. But 0 responses is still odd.
The reasons for Nov 2001 PD could be due to backlog processing centers that held sway over these applicants (non-RIR cases), but by same yardstick, there still should be some cases in early 2002. Odd indeed (though a good kind of "odd", as we will get a welcome jump in dates once they ball starts rolling).

My wife appeared for Visa interview on 6th and yet to receive the passport. we booked tickets for this weekend and seems we have to reschedule. I sent a mail to NIV and no response as of now. This is of concern. can anyone tell me about the normal turnaround time for H4 Visas these days?

Does the SKIL bill apply only to MS, or MBA too ?
I do not think the language of the SKIL bill clarified that. All it said was advanced degree from the US (which can be interpreted as MS, MBA and any other degree (minimum 2 years) received after a 4 year bachelor's degree). So, who knows. We will have to wait and see how it will be interpreted if and when SKIL bill comes back for discussion.

If anybody that is useless on the great America Land, it is a self proclaimed fake-nationalist person like Mr. Dobbs. He not only is conveying a wrong information but also hurting the nation with his misdirections... How can a person, who spends hours of time driving to and from work every day, even have a time to gather real statistics??

Guys,
There are lot of anti-immigrants on this forum. You can identify them by their agendas. Don't try to reply to those morons. Get on to their forums and reply if you feel like replying.
Don't waste your energy replying to them on this forum.
Please analyze the posts from "villamonte6100 (http://immigrationvoice.org/forum/member.php?u=6470)". He is one of them.

Guys
I know an instance where a big american pay roll company got people from india on business visa and made them work for $50 per day and the poor guys were slogging more than 10 hours a day.
Ofcourse the manager is a desi ..
I know even Accenture brings people on B1 visa @ 50 dollars a day

I think it is 45 working days, not counting weekends and holidays, that gives us 9 weeks of time to file for 140, that should be enough in most cases.
