Finally my attorney from the previous company has received the withdrawal notice for my H1B with that company. The attorney also said that this was in response to the withdrawal request that the company has filed with USCIS after I left them.
Just the same way I had mentioned a couple of days before....

Senators inquiry was initiated in first week of September. I guess that is TSC's way of saying F$%$ off....

Stronger support from our members, will definitely help us push this agenda item. IV feels that this issue is going to be a big roadblock for a lot of us now, after people have filed their I485s. No. that's not the point. See, you can't force people. If X is "recurring contributor" now, he has done that willingly and that is the best essence for us.
As long as people support the cause and organization "Willingly" we will have infinite horizons to grow. The moment you bring "Burocracy" in, ultimately momentum will die.. may be slowly or quickly. Historically, IV threads are the major attentive media to declare the existence. We should not kill that with any enforcement of "Paid membership"...It is always hard to wake people. If that would be easy than nobody would have used the word "Struggle"..right:). On other hand yes there is a dier need of increasing financial strength exponentially and that too quickly is at high priority. We need to think and find other ways and resources.

If IV can outline how it is going to help, that would really make many people come out of the shelves. However, though we talk so much, people are still scared to identify themselves against the employer. However, they may be ready to outline everything against the specific employer as an anonymous person. we got to deal with a situation where people are ready but anonymously. How can we handle this.
A problem very similar to marriage breakups. People do not want to deal with the aftermaths of a breakup but willing to put up with crap from spouse.
GC being tied to employer has created all this situation.
If people are coming forward to complain - IV can help interace with auhorities, media etc..... COntact IV with specific issues.

In Dec 2007 my dad got admitted to the hospital for 17 days due to DVT (Deep Venous Thrombosis). Total bill from the hospital was $48,000.00. IMG paid most part of it and I paid approximately $2000.00 as patient resposibility.

I feel privilieged that I have an opportunity to work with the same employer as Aman. I remember talking to him one year back, when he first mentioned retrogression. Like many others, I was naive and thought I dont have to worry about it until 3 or 4 yrs. I have seen him in action, he is the most polite human I have ever came across, who is super soft in his heart but super agressive in his actions. I know that he sold his house to generate 64K to spend for IV.
He once told me that he likes to socialize with fellow employers, indulge in office politics, etc and be a typical employee, but unfortunately he cannot because he would rather spend that time on IV and build things for IV.
I know for a fact that, his boss is not all too happy about he dedicating his time to other efforts. But he stands like a pillar to protect our IV community.
In a nutshell: Here is a man who is willing to give whatever it takes to stand up for what he believe in. We the community should be extremely happy to have people like him and Logiclife.
I will start my $20 dollar contributions / per month recurring contributions today.

1. Free for all (an immigration help site)
Should contain:
Information that are helpful for others. (Similar to what IV forum does today)
Should not contain:
Any information about our activities or agendas.

Yes, this is just so demoralizing. People spend hours asking questions on different issues but they do not take a couple of mins to send even 25-50 dollars (a good dinner costs as much).

I am not working in permanent job. I am also in consulting job. I am not supporting the restrictions. I am giving comments. Some comments were not liked by some IV members and they are suspecting that I am anti immigrant from alipac or numbersusa. But I strongly suspect Indian bodyshoppers and consulting companies used big portion of H1bs, and that might be reason for those restrictions. Till 3 months before everything was going well and all of IV provisions were there in the skil bill and strive. But suddenly Durbin bill was introduced and just a few weeks back they sent a notice to Top most Indian companies about H1b. Whatever reply Indian companies give may create more trouble.So something went terriably wrong in past 3 months. Not even one pro legal immigrant amendment in Senate. I am not seeing anyone working seriously except IV. Immigration lawyers are more bothered about point system and family based immigration system.
